Lovely pizza and friendly staff. Good value for money.

Really good quality gluten free meal, I couldn't believe how much they offered for gluten free. Best gluten free pizza I've had before. One of the dishes was really salty (burn your tongue salty) for which they apologised but didn't change or reimburse. Despite the salt it was amazing. We were so hungry we ate most of it. Would definitely go back again! Decent prices for the quality especially given the city.

Great service, excellent wine selection and delicious pizza. They do gluten-free pizza which was surprisingly crunchy, thin and delicious! Sadly don’t have a picture but they are a good size although a bit price as they use fresh ingredients (I suppose).

We arrived late on a Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. Despite being near closing time the service was responsive and friendly and the food was delicious. Our party of seven ordered starters (look for Antipasto misto with truffle honey!), five types of pizza (our favorite was Quattro Formaggi e tartufo). The wine was reasonably priced with a good selection. De Italiaan has a friendly, family atmosphere and I'll definitely go back when I'm next in Amsterdam. Thanks for making me look good with my restaurant selection!

Ordered two pizzas to go: the Parmigiana and the Boscaiola which were both delicious. Would definitely recommend and will definitely order again soon!

Great food, gluten free pizza actually tasted great, was crispy but I like crispy food.

Great Pizza, Pasta and Panna Cotta and you might wait a bit

Highly recommend the gluten free pizza! The gustosa is so amazing! I’ve eaten here several times and never had a problem (celiac).

The best meal we had in Amsterdam. Very tender ossobucco, pasta done al dente, and a very interesting dessert - Sgroppino. (Lemon sorbet, vodka, and spumante in a narrow sundae glass.Good and friendly service. Great neighborhood and nice ambience. The pizzas looked good. If we’re ever back this is a place we’ll definitely revisit.

Great cosy italian restaurant on the cosiest street in Amsterdam. This restaurant is a must, very popular so make a reservation otherwise you might have to wait a while for a table. But it's worth the waiting. Great food and service. A place where the locals go to.

Cosy corner location with a romantic feel. The pasta regano was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Thought it was quite pricey though I still recommend.

As a gluten intolerant traveler, sometimes it’s hard to find places with gluten free options, even harder to find restaurants that make you forget you aren’t eating gluten. I’ve been in Amsterdam for 5 days and have come back for a third time! They have gluten free pizza and pasta along with gluten free dessert options as well! This place is a hidden gem and would recommend it to anyone stopping in Amsterdam, gluten-free or not! I’ve enjoyed every single meal here from appetizer to dessert!

The salami pizza is and has always been amazing. I am still trying to find a restaurant close to home (or anywhere I go) that has sich a nicely balanced pizza!Consistently great

So great. The place is full so people seem to like it. Sometimes people are right. I had a pizza that was just great. The name was S.P.Q.R., harhar. Very big. With Anchovies. Nice interior. Great service, very welcoming and helpful. No fast food, all hand made. So it takes a few minutes.
Vanessa Bushing
Great food, great service! Will definatley be back. They even have a tone of options for gluten free!

Nice Italian restaurant. I always enjoy the pizzas, but pasta are also good. Nice selection of Italian wines. Cosy atmosphere inside, and great terrace as well in summer

Service was good and the food was good.

This was exactly what we were after. Somewhere warm and cosy that sold wheat free pizza. The pizza wasn’t incredibly but it hit the spot! Very friendly staff and got the best seat next to the window. Had the most amazing Italian wine as well. Would definitely go back!

Great and tasty food and friendly staff. Gluten-free pizza possible and very nice!A few hick ups: there are some other gluten-free options but not very many. For example: No gluten-free bread so half of the starters is not possible. The gluten-free pizza is quite small. That has to do with the fact that there is then no cross contamination (which is great!) but is still a bit of a bummer.

This is a great little place! As you walk in the smell of pizza and amazing cheese is just another level!Nice and cosy! Sat in the window. And watched the world go by!The only done side to this place is that it's over priced. To be honest though any food that is better than all the tourist trap places comes at a cost in Amsterdam!
Reed Shingledecker
Some of the best ravioli I've ever had. A really quiet and off the beaten path place. Good gluten free options too!
K Carthew
Lovely, buzzy atmosphere. Great pizza (massive), and friendly staff. Loved it.

The waiting time is very long! The food (pizza quattro formaggi/ 4 cheese) was good but you would expect more for the price. The so-called malt beer in the menu is not a usual malt beer but just a non-alcoholic Heineken which doesn’t taste like malt beer at all. Besides that, the restaurant is cosy and has many tables. They offer special day dishes at a cheaper price.

the best gluten free pizza I've ever eaten

This place was particularly important for us, because of their superb dietary options. We enjoyed every part of our time here, we will be back someday!
Marjorie Koning
Sweet people, very decent food. Especially if you have gluten free people in your party, they even serve gluten free pasta upon request. Their service can be spotty, but that's mostly due to lack of staff than anything else. At had a great lunch here.
Sara Goffi
Good gluten free pizza, really crounchy. But except for that, it's not worthed. A Gluten free pizza that is less than half of the size of the normal one, and still you pay two euros more just for the pasta of the pizza. And also for the gluten free beer, the same beer you can find in a supermarket for less then 2 euros, you pay here 4.50 euros, I don't see the need of making pay so much intolerant gluten people for a beer when the normal beer cost 3 euros. I do not recommend the place for its prices, but you are looking just for good pizza, this is the right place.

The food was amazing, but we had to wait about an hour for two plates of pasta.. The staff was very friendly and they gave us free wine and bread to apologize! We would come back
Bruno Vunderl
For such great reviews I have seen, I've expected a bit better food. Pizza and pasta were good but not great.

Excellent pizza with a Tiamasu to die for

Bit pricey - but very tasty. We had the pasta special and it was a great balance of richness and flavour. Service was also very good.
